Story Behind The Song
It started with a phrase as so many do. "I'd be glad to be your Garfunkel" and it just blossomed from there. Went through a couple of re-writes and Voi La. After that I asked Tristyn Leach (from here on Broadjam) to lend a hand and he gave me a Killer guitar break that I think really added some Rock to my Roll.

GARFUNKEL
©2014 words and music by jeff rauschl
I'd be glad to be your Garfunkel
Or you can play lead guitar, I'll just be the drummer
I'll let you have center stage
I'll be the chorus
feeling lucky that you're near us
In the glow of your celebrity
Fell the pulling of your gravity
You got me spinning round round round
round you like a satellite
I'm spinning round round round
round you like a satellite
You can be my Marilyn
I'll be your Joe DiMaggio
You be Ruth or Arron
I'll be your Joe DiMaggio
You can be that coffee machine
I'll sing your praises on the Radio and TV Screen
Sell my Pride sell my dignity
Drip drip drip dripping in your gravity
You got me spinning round round round
round you like a satellite
I'm spinning round round round
round you like a satellite
(instrumental break)
You can be the sun
I'll be the planets
better yet
You can be the sun
I'll be your Haley's comet
And I will wait 76 years
for a brief chance to be near
and all those other years it clear
You got me spinning round round round
ha ha ha ha, round you like a satellite
I'm spinning round round round
round you like a satellite
