always good stuff from you
Nicely flowing and well instrumented piece with intriguing lyrics and pleasing vocals. String work is fantastic. Lead vocals go so low that they are almost on the floor and sound very pleasing.
you have a great country folk voice..voice is clear and your female harmony partner is perfect.. your song and music is ketchy and I love your whole presentation of this song..I love when a song comes out smooth and with no flaws my ears can detect.
The song is well recorded, well produced, balanced. Vocals are good to o.k., fiddle part is very good. The song has a finished quality to it - I wish I'd heard it in a more basic format, guitar/vocal or piano/vocal, so I could understand the lyrics better.
This is a really good sounding song, I really love the fiddle and the drums - sounds a lot like John Anderson.
liked the fiddle and general warm sound of the sound.
A strong song. Good lead vocal complemented nicely by the female BV. Nicely mixed..lovely bright sound. Catchy. Engaging lyrics which catch the attention of the listener. Generally I'm not much of a fan of the violin on pop/rock/country tracks but it is used very well here.
Love the layered female harmony. Recording is top notch. Male vocals are spot on. Toe tapping energy without being over the top. Easy to enjoy, for sure.
Well, this is very interesting - black heart, green heart, blue heart, and the water's just as "thick as glue"?? "thick and blue"???
Synesthesia certainly plays a part in this song.
I would call the music pleasantly whole-hearted country folk, and the song is almost a ballad.
