Story Behind The Song
The title of the entire piece, "The Monkey Who Made Music", came about out of the frustration from a lack of compositional ideas, initially.
When ideas started flowing and I was satisfied with my progress, I looked back at my being distressed to content and thought of myself as 'monkey' for whatever reason.
Then I thought to myself, "what differentiates us humans from monkeys?". For one, humans can create music, but what if a monkey could?
That's pretty much it. Silly and almost meaningless. =]
