Story Behind The Song
In one of my first bands, Steve DeSousa came up with the genesis for this song and I was hooked. So we worked it into what it is. The song began as a simple observation. Then it became an obsession. This is just a very fun song.
Song Description
Driving down the highways of Northeastern Pennsylvania I've noticed that good looking girls drive small cars. In this day of high gas prices it's even more noticable.

Lyrics
Small Cars
Words and Music By James Wood
Hey Boys!
If you see ?em Jack ?
You?ll never see ?em in a Cadillac
And if you?re looking Lee ?
You?ll never find ?em in an SUV
Chorus:
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
But they like the men in the big machines
Now if you?re lookin Joe ?
They won?t be crusin? in a Camaro
And if you?re looking Sam ?
They won?t be shotgun in a big sedan
Chorus:
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
But they like the men in the big machines
They?ll be driving Ion, Focus, MR2.
Passat, Grand Am, Subaru
Tell the boys in town that they?re coming through
Even you Rednecks know this much is true
Chorus:
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
Good lookin? girls drive small cars
But they like the men in the big machines
