Story Behind The Song
Sam Spotts and Ben Lisser were traveling down to Tennessee to do some backpacking in the mountains. We were about half way there when Ben realized that he forgot his wallet and explained to me that if we got pulled over he would just tell the police in this high-pitched voice that, "you got the wrong guy" and they would just leave him alone. The rest of the story is a recap of strange moments that we encountered while visiting friends down south. The song was recorded at Iceland's Sundlaugin Studios.
Song Description
Getting pulled over by the cops and getting off the hook by telling them, "you got the wrong guy"! The song itself has a very delta/ bluesy feeling that involves running from the law. It has a solid tempo that you cant help but move to.

Lyrics
Well you're good you copper
You're good you see
But, you'll always be second best to me
Cuz, I drive real fast and I drink real slow
Going 90 on highway 54
You got the wrong guy
I'm driving down that interstate
I'm feeling good I'm feeling great
You'll never find my hiding place
So you can search the car
All damn day
Gotta guitar in the back
Half bottle of jack
& I'm fixin to start figurin
Where I'm at
You got the wrong guy
