Song Description
In the infancy of dystopia, a father navigates emotions of uncertainty and fear while fighting to maintain a guise of optimism and hope to comfort his young son. The deterioration of society, and the dangers therein, have forced them to abandon their home and head west in search of survival. The percussion leading into the song evokes a sense of urgency as the acoustic guitar and bass guitar layer in to define a foundation of steady perseverance representing the relationship between the man and his son. The breakdown in the middle speaks plainly, digressing into the mind of a sinister third party/antagonist. At the end of the song, the electric guitar, keyboards and percussion provide a climax, representing the man's inner dialogue with himself as he flirts with the impending void of chaos.

Lyrics
Mama didn't smile at me when she crept away
Her tears told me stories about the end of days
Don't you worry child your papa is here to stay
Gather our belongings now we're leaving here today
For our home has now become a dangerous place
For our home has now become a dangerous place
The earth is dead
And the people are hungry
The suns' grown cold
Black swan has flown
The fire is rising
The ash is falling
Move out west
And do what your told
I wont be praying for you waiting for me
Sitting here in the fire still waiting days
Breathe my little child I'm right here for you
Sorry I couldn't be there to dig your grave
I've been down the only road I'll ever stay
I've been down the only road I'll ever stay
