Story Behind The Song
Pitifully, for various reasons, many girls/women have this same plight. Sadly, many have to live with it though some could extract themselves from the deplorable existence should they desire. If allowed, parents could help, and many do. BUT, beforehand, the victim has to totally commit to being saved from the deplorable situation. Many will not because they have this sense of deserving mistreatment inflicted upon them by rotten partners, or they are physically afraid of an unworthy partner. Sad!
Song Description
A true "somebody's doing somebody wrong"song. Sometimes, miraculously, a few rotten males wake up and strap on better lives for themselves and their partners; however, most don't because they enjoy this macho status in which a sense of self-importance is gained thru "stepping" on the throats of others. Is classic "I'm okay, you're not okay" conduct of individuals possessing sick minds.

Lyrics
SOMETHING'S MISSING!
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing...
when a girl can come back home, find the one she loves is gone, and knows he's not just running' with the boys.
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing.
CHORUS
Bathrobes on the floor bring a cry from deep inside
I've never heard before.
Lipstick on a glass, beer cans in the trash
tell what my friends know, and it hurts me so.
'Cause something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing.
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing...
when smells from him are strange, and he acts like it's some game.
Phone calls come in for him throughout the night.
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing.
(REPEAT CHORUS)
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing.
Something's wrong, something's rotten, something's missing.
