Lyrics
NOT GROWN UP YET
By Gary Skankey
Not grown up yet, and bouncing on my knee, its only me you live for
At five o'clock the high point of your day when I make my way through our front door
That's as good as it gets
Not grown up yet
Now you play with toys, but you'll be chased by boys when you're sixteen
And then you'll think that I'm out of touch, but you won't know as much as it seems
You wanna bet
Not grown up yet
Bridge:
I've been around the block a time or two
Gone down life's road well ahead of you
I'll warn you 'bout the bumps and pits
And the forks in the road you're bound to hit
One day you get where I am, don't you fret
Not grown up yet
Beware of two-faced friends with a twisted sense of right and wrong
They'll lead you on chasing rose colored thrills, the barrel of fun always spills and don't last long
Then you're all wet
Not grown up yet
To Bridge
Not grown up yet
When you get older then you will hold your own sweet child
And you'll find out that the things that strain you and the things that drain you are most worth while
Never forget
You've got a lifetime left
Not grown up yet bouncing on my knee its only me you live for
Not grown up yet Not grown up yet Not grown up yet
