I just wanted to document the story in english so folks could become familiar with the popular mexican legend. It WAS already recorded in spanish a long time ago.

Legend has it that this woman was in love but her suitor wouldn't marry her because she had children. Not unlike the modern day Susan Smith story, she disposed of them in the river. God punished her by sentencing her to an afterlife of constant searchin
