Story Behind The Song
Inspired by a poem on child abuse written by Denise Crisp (2009 President of the Foster Carers Association in Australia)Inspired by the deaths of 7yr old Shellay Ward and 2 yr old Dean Shillingsworth both victims of child abuse. Dedicated to all the children who have died unnecessarily due to being taken out of Foster care and given back to their abusive families. To bring awareness of a system that isnt working and a need for change so children can survive their childhood. To bring awareness of the abuse and neglect suffered by so many children every day. To help raise money to save more children.
Song Description
A story of children finally being free from abuse, neglect and pain. Being in heaven and finally being able to laugh and play as all children should. A promise by foster carers to fight the system and do whatever they need to do to get and keep kids out of abusive situations. A tribute to all the children killed by their abusive families and a promise by foster carers to never give up trying to find and save all current children in abusive care.
