THIS TIME POEM
From when we are born,
to the time when we leave this earth,
is only a matter of milliseconds,
when compared to the billions of years,
we have been in the making, yet,
the journey that is life is a long road home
to where we began.
We should be reminded daily
that we are on the long road home;
that our time is now,
our time is this time.
We have only, this time.
It is what we do with this time
that is our defining identity.
Where we are going is inconsequential,
where we have been is irreversible;
we have only this time,
Breath, and breath deep.
Inhale what is now.
Store within your deepest chambers
all that life has presented,
