Life's Been Good to Me

Story Behind The Song

Keeping a dream alive can be a daunting task. For a long time fear of failure kept me from enjoying making music so I wrote this song for myself to remind me that it doesn't matter if I become a big rock star. Life is beautiful.

Song Description

There is a time when you're growing up, becoming a man, when you come to the realization that not everything you plan will one day become the present. So you begin to fear the future. One sleepless night I found a moment of peace and wrote myself this song in a hope that many years from now I'll remember everything I am grateful for and that I'm the luckiest man I know.

Life's Been Good to Me
By Michael Tecku

The soft setting sun
Clears the city stain
from my eye's
As another bad day
Drags me home

And this is not
What I wanted
I cannot believe
People think
Life's been good to me

The love of my life
Takes the pain away
As she sighs
Her hands whisper to me
Welcome home

And could this be
What I wanted?
I'm starting to see that
Life's been good to me

Took me a long time to find
That happiness is in the mind
So now I decide
To step on my pride
And enjoy the ride

The misty morning moon
Calls a new day
To the sky
And now the world will wait for me
To come home

And this is all
That I wanted
I finally see that
Life's been good to me
