I wrote this song after my daughter kept asking me if Santa Claus was real.

My little girl came home today and the question that she asked
Is Santa Clause a real man or someone in a mask?
Does he slide down our chimney? Do the reindeer really fly?
Does he bring us gifts at Christmas and she wanted to know why?
I told her Santa Clause was real and there was something she should know

Before she asked for makeup or another baby doll
I felt he wanted me to say believe in Santa's Cause

I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind

She told me "write to Santa Clause" and tell him "she'd been good"
She was leaving milk and cookies and hoped he understood
This year instead of presents to place beneath the tree
She wished that he'd bring everyone the power to believe
