Lyrics

Verse

Here my weekend comes again
That wasted time and pain

Just sitting here bidding my time
What I'm hoping for can't be mine

I want you with me this you know
Don't let me go this weekend alone

Here I go again
Spending the weekend without you

Chorus

Why am I living the lonely weekend?
Memories are keeping me close to you

Here am I wonderin' and wishin'

Why does time pass so slowly
When I want to be by your side?

Looks like I'll try to survive
Living the lonely weekend

Verse

I know you're sitting there thinking of me
Building a dream for two

Don't know what you expect from me.
To ring the phone and check on you?

Don't let your hopes fade
Maybe my dreams will help

Together we will be one day
For now I'll sleep my weekend away

BRIDGE

Me and my four walls with nothing to do
Looks like I'm gonna have another weekend without you

Never heard that hook before, and that is VERY hard to do. Great demo! Good story, very conversational.

This song has a cool arrangement with a surprise sharing of the lead vocals and becomes a duet with excellent sounding blend of harmonies with both voices. Each singer has a powerful right on style that bring the lyrics and hook to life. The guitar break is well played and fits perfectly in the song's arrangement. I rarely rate a song this high, but this is a real hit in the waiting.

Great sounding production. I really like the musical arrangement of the song and the vocals work really well for the demo also. The duet was a welcomed surprise to the song. It worked well. All in all the production was really good, great instrumentation and recording production. I enjoyed listening to the song.

Solid instrumentation. Good use of back and forth dynamics with the male and female. Good harmonies and energy.

Vocal Pitch is excellent. Instrumentation is great. Recording is good (see below). There are some nice guitar licks. The hook is good--it would capture interest and picque interest.

Like it a lot--a fresh idea for a duet. Good energy on the track, melody feels right for contemp country rock.
