Story Behind The Song
I got this song idea when President Bush advised Americans after 9/11 to "hug your kids." It is a lullaby in disguise as a power ballad, using images from familiar nursery rhymes. The message is that even when disaster strikes, love is the one thing we can count on. This version features a male (father) vocal; I've also loaded a female (mother) vocal version.

Lyrics
THE SKY COMES FALLING DOWN
VERSE 1:
Chicken Little screamed and cried, the sky is falling, run and hide.
He saw the sun and stars collide, falling all around.
Well I don't care what chickens say, the sky ain't falling, not today,
And I'll still love you anyway
Even if the sky comes falling down, falling down,
I'll still love you when the sky comes falling down.
VERSE 2:
Humpty Dumpty on a wall, so afraid that he might fall,
And we can't put together all the pieces on the ground.
And if you take a tumble too, if your dreams are falling through,
Remember I'll be loving you
Even if the sky comes falling down, falling down,
I'll still love you when the sky comes falling down.
BRIDGE:
And I don't mind if nursery rhymes and fairy tales come true,
'Cause the story never ends for me and you, me and you.
VERSE 3:
Don't you let the Jacks and Jills frighten you from climbing hills,
Don't give up, keep trying 'til you reach the highest ground.
And anywhere your spirit goes, steepest highs or deepest lows,
Call for me and I'll be close
Even if the sky comes falling down, falling down,
I'll still love you when the sky comes falling down.
Falling down, falling down,
I'll still love you when the sky comes falling down.
