Story Behind The Song
Often the most simple songs get the most attention. Rockabilly Boogieman is such a song. Kids have selected this one as a favorite from the cd, but it was one of the least over-worked songs in the package. I came up with a riff and laid down the tune with a drummer then added the rest of the song. It really clicked when we added the bass guitar because it has a silly fun bouncing quality that reminds me of "Surfin' Bird". AWESOME!
Song Description
The arrangement is uncluttered and features baritone and 12 string guitars overdubbed over the basic combo. There is a drum break down between verses that is much like a Ramones song.
