Story Behind The Song
I wrote this in the mid-80's but could not think of a way to finish it but it never left my sub-conscious. I heard a saying that nothing good happens after midnight and used that as the title and worked the song up as an instrumental with The Surf Zombies and it's just been a cool song to play and I enjoy it every time we do!
Song Description
Nothing Good happens after Midnight is a fast paced surf instrumental with a very sophisticated melody, chord structure and form. There is a bridge where the band goes to a Latin style riff that happens twice. The song always gets a very good reception when played live.
