Story Behind The Song

The melody came first with this song, followed by the title (hook) then lyric. The hook is a favorite of mine because not only does it conjure up a picture in my mind of a bus in the rain, but also of a dog in a thunderstorm! Several listeners have said it is a perfect 'road trip' song and that is has a classic Glen Campbell vibe about it. I take that as a real compliment. The banjo was a must have - it reminds me of a couple of Keith Urban tracks I really like.
