Its a slow fade in to the song as if you are walking or moving and drawn towards it. Thought it was a smaller ensemble, but more sounds now being heard with a piano and busy bassonist that needs to have a say while others volume down a bit. Nice volume changes and key introductions along with volume and texture changes. Its all intrigueing and interesting. Good measure counting! A fuller string sound is revealed feom time to time. And yes, tympani is present and changes pitches and plays rolls loud and soft. Not just an amateur here! Excellent piece and very interesting!! Really like it. I can even see it accompanying something animated.
