Song Description
Anger, at its core, is more of a result than the process. It can be the result of a few different kinds of emotions if left unchecked. Sadness, remorse, regret, anxiety, stress- they can pile up and stunt our emotional growth. We either learn our own coping mechanisms or just bottle it up and lash out at those we love. We may not be aware that we are in this self-destructive cycle. After some time, we may just accept the cycle as our way of life. We may not even know how to seek help, let alone if we need it.
"The storm has come to pass / this barren field no longer yields reward / But, I'll till the land and start again."
Living through the cycle can be soul crushing. Finding the root of our anger and finding peace is an uphill battle. At times, it may seem impossible to progress. At the least very least, a good place to start is to work towards leaving your old habits and mindset behind. Admitting that how we've been going through life thus far isn't working and embracing change is the healthy way to heal. Of course it'll take some time, and we'll get discouraged and frustrated along the way. Depending on how long the cycle has continued, there may be a mountain of baggage to go through. But, anything worth having is worth fighting for.
"The dust settles on the brass / I've locked the door 'til my faith is restored."
