Story Behind The Song
The basic track of rhythm guitar, bass and drums was recorded live and improvised. Listening to the playback, David started singing, "Smear me with porridge," Artie answered, "Lick it up." Bob added, "And play that strange chord again." All three contributed to the spoken parts. Then, massive over dubbing: all three + Michael MacFall singing, with Bob and Artie contributing spoken parts, Artie added steel drums and sitar-synth.
So, these three friends ... who never worked together in a band before -- but worked had paired-up in seperate projects over the years -- had a fist full of improvised songs, but no name for the band.
Artie noticed that one could spell BAD several ways from the credits:
Bob / Artie / Dave = BAD
Brown / Amm / DeMonte = BAD
Bass / Axe / Drums = BAD
3BAD
Song Description
Ignore the "genre" from above. This is full blown comedy-rock, which is not an option to choose from in Broadjam's long list of choices. This track will give a listener "laugh-face," that medical condition when one's face becomes achy from laughing.
