Story Behind The Song
This song though it is instrumental, has lyrics available. It is taken from the book of Ruth(Bible account), which is a musical play I have written. Naomi and Ruth arrive in Bethlehem, some women recognize Naomi, and she expresses her feelings in the song as she feels the loss and bitterness of her Husband and sons.
Song Description
Ruth has refused to allow her Mother in law to return to Bethlehem alone since they are now widows, As they arrive women of the city recognize Naomi, but she tells them of her sorrow at the loss of her husband and two sons in Moab, and her prayer that God will return to her and now she calls herself Mira which means Bitter.
