Story Behind The Song
Just a few days ago, about 100 miles from here, our worst nightmare happened, innocent 2nd., 3rd. and 4th. graders at Robb Elementary in Uvalde Tx. became the victim's of a sick induvial, who's sole purpose was to kill, why these young children God only knows, just as all these horrible things have happened time after time. We grieve for the lost, and suffer with those left to never forget.
Song Description
Children who have just experienced an event that most people will never truly be able to understand or ever know exactly what that trauma does to a heart and mind. The children, still looking for hope, ask the questions of those who have power to make life feel safe again, can this ever be over?, can they face life unafraid, never witness their friends lives taken away by what seemed a nightmare and was a nightmare. Will they ever know true happiness and peace of mind again? It's a message to the world.

Lyrics
Children's 's Lament
Will this be a place, where children can play?
Where friends stay together and don't go away?
Will we be happy, will we be free, will we be able to live peacefully?
(Bridge)
Will we get the chance , to live out our dreams, Will we know the feeling that happiness brings?
Will this be a place with nothing to fear, we grow up together with everyone here?
What do you think? what do you say? ( what would you think? what would you say?
Do you believe it will happen that way? do you believe it will happen that way?) second phrase
Will this be a place where children can see,
How good and how wonderful people can be?
(Repeat from Bridge)
