Story Behind The Song
I was in a pretty dark place in my life, wondering about my previous choices. So, I went to my parent's home in Tennessee. I went walking in the woods where I had played as a boy. That evening when I came home, I sat down at their old piano and the chords and melody came to me in about 15 minutes. 30 more minutes and the song was written; it simply flowed out of me in a torrent of words and emotions.
