Lyrics
Story of a dreamer
What a surprise to find that when I was sure, I find that I?m rather mistaken. Got
my head in the clouds and my feet on a sunray, but maybe it?s just a kid?s Razor.
My imaginary world seems to breath and live, as much as I do now
I struggle with myself, just how real this is; and how real, it should be.
What do you do when the person you long for, turns around and marries away?
Or the place that you dream of, that site of your longing, moves further and further away.
The events of your nighttime visions, never happen the way that you think
The many many numerous things of your dreams never get complete.
How do I make my dreams, reality?
You have come along and dropped an A-bomb on my world
Shattered all my glass houses; utopia disturbed
I lie broken, tears streak down this disenchanted face
And then, you hold me, and show me a brand new world
Now I can see that my dreams are now just far off realities
More like a goal that I think that God gives me, what I?m willing to say I believe
My simplicities will let Him hold me, sharing what He dreams for me.
My complexities will struggle, keeping one foot in my dreams. (repeat chorus)
The paradox between real life and my own world dreamland
Haunt my thoughts, so numerous, am I a hopeless dreamer?
More important, does God smile on my thoughts, on this little dreamer?
What a surprise to find that when I was sure, I find that I?m rather mistaken. Got
my head in the clouds and my feet on a sunray, but maybe it?s just a kid?s Razor.
