Story Behind The Song
Growing up it was my poems that became soon became songs that helped me to cope with the harsh realities of my life and kept me from destructive behaviors. I had a chorus teacher who believed in my singing and budding songwriting. I was known as a dancer who wanted to dance to my own songs. He told me to keep my poems and song ideas for later when he knew I would be able to make them full songs... as I have done.
Song Description
As we come to see who we are as souls... our inner growth - we are not so effected by circumstances... we learn how to make the best of everything that comes. Creativity has been a guide and healing force in my life. This is where I turn hard stuff that happens into experiences that have shaped who I am now.

Lyrics
Shades Of Images
Shades of Images, scraps of Paper
Put into a shoebox, under my bed
Slightly shadowed, mostly vague
Pieces of Poetry
Chorus: Shapes taking form, forms making sense
Senses getting felt, feelings taking shape in
Shade Of images... inspired by mistakes
Bridge: Mostly goes unnoticed, for a little while
Hidden in a wrinkled brow, that melts away
When I see you smile, then you say something clever,
Inspires poetry
And I take it back to my shoebox
It finds it?s way into my shoebox, it finds it?s way into
Shades Of Images
Shades of Images, scraps of Paper
Put into a shoebox, not to forget
Mind silhouettes, hang in the air
As I read them aloud
Chorus
I see who I am now, I see who I have been
I see pieces of me, in everything that I?ve written
I see who I am now, I see who I have been
I see pieces of me, in all the love that was called sin
And everything that makes us begin again
All it takes are beautiful mistakes
And their hidden in..
Shades Of Images
