Story Behind The Song

This song sounds simple enough, and manages easily to tie itself together; however, its writing was another matter altogether. Countless revisions make what was first a hodgepodge of, "I have no idea how to tie this together", into a complete and absolute fake out of wholesomeness. I wasn't entirely true to myself in the end, but it's the only way it could work. But leftovers always taste better the second time around....right?
