Story Behind The Song
My entire family, children, adults-dead and living all suffer from bi-polar disorder (and worse for some) so I wrote an ode to a pill that changed my life forever...however I do miss the mania...it would last for weeks, and that's when I did my best writing....when I was complete out of my mind mania, I taught myself how to play piano in a 4 day sleepless mania...boy, the good old days...

Lyrics
Doctor Feelgood
By Tom Wright
Gonna take a walk on thru the city, gonna make a promise in my mind
Gotta find a way to save myself, give me time and I think I?ll realize
Out of a second story window, I hear a trombone play the blues
Down here below, tiny voices call, Oh I fear I haven?t heard the news
Singing hey? sha-na na-na na-na-na
All the people dancing in the street
Singing hey? sha-na na-na na-na-na
Dr. Feelgood keeps you on your feet
Just ending seven years of bad luck, got a gypsy woman on my side
Broke a looking glass, when a black cat passed, oh I fear she doesn?t realize
I turned around and there was Dr. Fellgood, said, ?I?ve got the thing to ease your mind.
Take twice a day, before you pray, and I swear you won?t believe your eyes!?
Singing hey? sha-na na-na na-na-na
All the people dancing in the street
Singing hey? sha-na na-na na-na-na
Dr. Feelgood keeps you on your feet
Hey there brother, I?d like to be your friend
Maybe we can get together and start what we began, we?ll take it to the end
Pardon me sisters, I?ll be there for you
We can try to save the whole wide world in time for me and you, now this part is through
Singing, thank you?Dr. Feelgood, thank you?Dr. Feelgood
Thank you?Dr. Feelgood, thank you?Dr. Feelgood
Thank you Dr. Feelgood, thank you Dr. Feelgood
Thank you Dr. Feelgood, thank you Dr. Feelgood
