Here We Come

Story Behind The Song

I wanted to collaborate with several of the very talented women singer/songwriters in my area. This song is an anthem of love and support for one another. It sends the message that women do not need to compete despite ho we are often put against each other by others. It's not easy always being compared. This song is also for younger girls who lack self confidence and compare themselves to others. It's a message of self love and self worth.

Song Description

While this song is an anthem of women supporting other women, it's also a message about the importance of self love and acceptance; to acknowledge our own strengths and not long to be someone else or have someone else's traits. It's a song about self love and self worth and the stronger and more confident you are in yourself, you won't feel the need to compete with anyone else.

Lyrics

Let me sing you a little song, that's been playing in my head for far too long
Let's build each other up higher and higher
We're gonna spread the love like a wildfire
So get ready for it, ready for it
Cause here we come

In a world where we're put against each other, you know I'll always have your back
No need to compete, we can inspire each other, and teach other girls that
Let's raise ourselves up, won't tear no one down. Let our voices rock this town

(Chorus)

And in those times when you are screaming but your voice is still not heard
You're reaching for something to believe in and you long to feel your worth
I'll raise you up high, won't make you feel low
Let our voices take control

(Chorus)

Everybody's strong. Everybody's weak. Til we accept it all, we'll never succeed
(Be proud of what you've got instead of wishing for what you're not)
Everybody's strong. Everybody's weak. Til we accept it all, we'll never succeed
(Be proud of what you've got instead of wishing for what you're not)
Everybody's strong. Everybody's weak. Til we accept it all, we'll never succeed
(Be yourself. Don't compare. You've got so much to share)
(Be proud of what you've got instead of wishing for what you're not)
Everybody's strong. Everybody's weak. Til we accept it all, we'll never succeed
(Be yourself. Don't compare. You've got so much to share)
(Be proud of what you've got instead of wishing for what you're not)

(Chorus)
