Story Behind The Song
I live in Maryland. I had a VERY long driveway. We were having our 5th major snowstorm of the winter - and I was sick and tired of shoveling snow and being cold. While shoveling our very long driveway - by hand, I was grumbling to myself - and this song popped into my head.
So, I did what ANY songwriter would do - I handed the snow shovel to my wife and said: "YOU finish shoveling the driveway - I'm going in to write a song".
And, this song was the result.
Song Description
This song describes ME - a man who hates cold, snow, wind and freezing temperatures - and finally says: "screw it - I'm outta here" - and sells everything he has, packs up the dog and his car, and heads south - to live a life in the Caribbean.
