Story Behind The Song
Elmer composed a really funky sounding song and he saw the lyrics being about Time, but an Abstract vision of time.
Song Description
The song is a reflection of our lives in modern society. Time plays such a predominant role in our everyday lives that we often lose sight of anything else because we are so focused on time. Leading into the chorus we recognize that time can manipulate us but it can also be manipulated. The chorus takes us to the point "at the edge of time" trying to reach Higher beyond. Still when we reach that point we still find we are "late". The second last line of the song summarizes what we have to do to enjoy our lives. "Stop the clock and you start the day".

Lyrics
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON TIME
SOMETIMES YOU'RE LEFT BEHIND
SOMETIMES YOU GET AHEAD
DON'T TALK OF KILLING TIME
IT'S JUST TOO HARD TO FIND
GOT TO GET ME OUT OF BED
YOU SAY TIME PASSES
AND WE REMAIN
BUT TIME STAYS AND WE PASS AWAY
TIME FLIES ALL OVER
LEAVING ITS SHADOW
TURNING EACH PASSING NIGHT INTO DAY
LOST TIME IS NEVER FOUND
RAISE YOUR EYES OFF THE GROUND
LOOK AT WHAT LIES AHEAD
THERE IS NO TIME TO SPARE
NEED TO FIND MY WAY THERE
BEFORE I GO BRAIN DEAD
TIME IS AN OCEAN
BETWEEN TWO PLACES
AND THIS IS WHERE MY STORY ENDS
TIME TAKES US FORWARD
THEN PULLS US BACKWARDS
LIKE A ROLLING WAVE IT ALWAYS BENDS
CHORUS
HIGHER
CLIMB A MOUNTAIN OF TIME
TAKE ME HIGHER
90 MINUTES PER HOUR
FASTER
AT THE EDGE OF TIME
REACHING HIGHER
HOW CAN I BE SO LATE!
CAN'T CATCH THE SPEED OF TIME
HARD BEING LEFT BEHIND
MY TIME TO BORROW
HOW DO I SLOW IT DOWN
LOST HOURS CAN'T BE FOUND
PAST TURNS TO TOMORROW
TIME IS AN OCEAN
BETWEEN TWO PLACES
AND THIS IS WHERE MY STORY ENDS
TIME TAKES US FORWARD
THEN PULLS US BACKWARDS
LIKE A ROLLING WAVE IT ALWAYS BENDS
CHORUS
RAP
HOW DID IT GET SO LATE SO SOON
IT'S NIGHT BEFORE IT'S AFTERNOON
FOREVER'S JUST A BUNCH OF NOWS
ONE MINUTE MORE I CAN'T ALLOW
IT TAKES A LONG TIME GROWING YOUNG.
STILL ONE SONG I HAVEN'T SUNG
STOP THE CLOCK AND YOU START THE DAY
THERE'S NOTHING MORE I WANT TO SAY
