Story Behind The Song
i was driving around in my car and heard a song on the radio as is often the case with me the melody and something the other artist said got me thinking about what it would have been like to have lived in that time of Christ and that led to my asking myself if I really would have done things any differently. Would Ihave procrastinated and let the opportunity to meet the single most important person in the history of creation pass away from me without having met Him. I believe God gave me this song directly and I give Him full credit i just wrote down what I heard in my head
Song Description
This song explores the life of Christ through the eyes of a man who chose to hear the stories but never made the journey to meet the Lord in person (as is the case with most of todays population) It takes you through the decision process and flirts with the disaster of having waited too long and then gives you the GOOD NEWS that it is not too late. It is still possible to know Jesus. Would play on secular country as well as being a good tune for a gospel artist. I believe that this song is general enough in its orientation that it could cross all genre lines

Lyrics
They tell me He's a healer
That He made a blind man see
That He makes the lame to walk again
And he sets the captive free
Heals the broken hearted
Preaches love and liberty
I tell me I'd should meet him
This man
Man from Galilee
His closest friends are sinners
He's kind and gentle too
He surrounds Himself with children
And His words are strong and true
They tell me He's the son of God
And Man the things they've seen Him do
I think I'd like to meet Him
This Man
Man from Galilee
They say he had to suffer
They say he had to die
That He paid a price I couldn't pay
And He paid it with His life
That he shed His blood on a cross
In a place called Calvary
I wish that I had met HIm
This man
Man from Galilee
Someone said they saw Him
That He's risen from the grave
They saw the nail prints in His hands
And the wounds the soldiers made
But they say He had to leave again
So His children can be saved
And I can go and meet Him
If I believe
In this man
Man from Galilee
They tell me He's a healer
That He made a blind man see
That He makes the lame to walk again
And He sets the captive free...
