Lyrics

Whispers
Last night I whispered into a can through a string attached it went
To another can and you were there you whispered back we went on for hours
I'd hoped it never end

A blustery day in October I left for places I'd never been
It rained in my imagination, I left the windows wide open
I thought I heard you calling I thought I heard your voice
in the wind

Hollow me when I'm empty you fill me up
Your words hand in mid air and sparkle like tinsel on a Christmas tree

These days I walk amongst these whispers, through a symphony of silence
Relive these moments that fall like rain, going through the motions

nice song.......

A lovely, evocative track. Very reflective, with different sections that evoke different feelings. No steady groove or time signature throughout, but that kind of works for what this seems to be intended to be. The washy-ness of the instrumentals are interestingly contrasted by the earthy, folksy quality of the vocal.
