Story Behind The Song

In the nighttime was born out of experimenting with ways of using plucked strings to tell a story. As I progressed it took the shape of a marching style, reminiscent of mechanical toys - something you would see in a fantasy animation. My signature is to add a dark edge to my music, which comes through in the structure of the sections of the song, providing a sense of urgency.

A new age track that incorporates elements of storybook fantasy and images of mechanical and clockwork toys. The song has a dark edge that gives an element of unease or danger underpinning it.
