Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song sitting on my 110 year old staircase after a water break trashed my house. I had to count the good things in life. Took about 20minutes to write the verses and chorus. And a year later I wrote the bridge.

Lyrics
Sometimes I'm an open book
Sometimes I hide
out here in the open
it's hard to survive
and if I said I hated this life
It would be a lie
world's changin, and time tickin
as the miles roll by
Some times the beauty of life
hits me right from behind
I want to thank you
I want to thank you
Here on the inside
it's not as it seems
False failures can eat you up
chasing distant dreams
My father told me all of my life
be humble stand tall be kind
when you think your somebody
you aint nothin at all
Sometimes the beauty of life
hits me right between my eyes
I want to thank you
I want to thank you
For my love and friends in my life
For the music that flows in my veins
and the hope for peace in my new baby's eyes
For my life
Sometimes the beauty of life
hits me right between my eyes
I want to thank you
I just want to thank you
I want to thank you
I want to thank you
For my life
