Story Behind The Song
There is no real story but when I am writing I do have to go with the flow. I actually sang this before I wrote it.
Song Description
When I start to feel words either by starting to sing or write I have to 'go with the flow. I wrote The Moment one night/early morning. I had sung it all the way through and then had to remember what I had sung to write it down. I believe that if I could sing this would be the perfect singer/songwriter song for me - but I can't and I am so pleased that 'Tilly Aldaine' has agreed to sing my songs.

Lyrics
The Moment
Reflective juices run
Backwards to the start of yesterday
Thoughts rise with the sun
I don't know what to say.
It's like my mind is speaking
Through my pen
Words tumble as if they're leaking
Out to where and when
And I'm not sure
What I'm doing
Go with the flow
Don't want to ruin
The moment
Rough and impure
But I'm pursuing
Can't let go
Don't want to ruin
The torrent.
Subversive ideas race
Forwards to the end of tomorrow
Thoughts sink with no trace
Time I need to borrow
It's like my mind is crying
Full of fear
Words crumble as if they're dying,
Won't appear again.
And I'm not sure
What I'm doing
Go with the flow
Don't want to ruin
The moment
Rough and impure
But I'm pursuing
Can't let go
Don't want to ruin
The torrent.
And I'm not sure
What I'm doing
Go with the flow
Don't want to ruin
The moment
Rough and impure
But I'm pursuing
Can't let go
Don't want to ruin
The torrent.
And I'm not sure
What I'm doing
Go with the flow
Don't want to ruin
The moment
Don't want to ruin
The moment
Don't want to ruin
The moment
