Down and out and unlucky in life man turns to drinking-- things get worse. A little faith and a lot of love changes his world.
Breakfast in bed was a shot of crown and a beer to chase it down
Another dead end sign at the end of the road was waitin' on me
The mirror by the sink told me every day who I was and what I'm not
So I took it down and threw it in the dumpster at the end of the street.
Lost in my drink and my usual going nowhere thoughts
saving grace walked in the bar on the edge of town
She took me by surprise and said "c'mon, dance with me"
That one damn song, turned my damned life around--I found
There's a kindness in her smile and a patience in her voice that I never knew
And when she looks into my eyes, she sees a better man than me
A little faith , a lotta love from this woman and I'm born again
Every morning when I wake up, salvation's lying next to me.
Lost in her arms is the only place that I wanna be
So high on her love I'm ten feet off the ground
When she takes me by the hand and says "C'mon boy, dance with me"
I remember that night she turned my life around--I found
Salvation. Salvation Yeah, Salvation
