Story Behind The Song
Falling Water is about the house on Fallingwater designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Kaufmann family in the midst of the great depression in 1935. Many doubted Wright's design would work, being built over a waterfall, but the house still stands today.

Lyrics
Down the middle of the river, past the trees where Tuesday sleeps
Nature's rushing to deliver, secrets no one ever keeps.
Colours flying to be broken, stories laced with finding fault
Things we said and wish unspoken, love that died from lack of salt.
Our hearts are made of bricks and mortar
Our souls are always on the run
We live behind the falling water
But dream that someday we'll be standing in the sun.
No one thought it could be balanced. Only Frank Lloyd Wright believed.
Spirit-level has no malice, rolled-up blueprint rolled-up sleeves.
Could you meet me at the market? Can I see you one more time?
Will the light defeat the darkness, while we watch the world unwind?
Our hearts are made of bricks and mortar
Our souls are always on the run
We live behind the falling water
But dream that someday we'll be standing in the sun.
"If you do decide to go, don't leave a note
I've hidden all the pens." That's all she wrote.
Our hearts are made of bricks and mortar
Our souls are always on the run
We live behind the falling water
But dream that someday we'll be standing in the sun.
