With all the avenues for expression nowadays, there is ample expression. With that, comes the statement of some serious things not so seriously. He's in love with her and is letting her know that if she says she loves him -- on some social medium, for example -- he is going to take her literally. And he's letting her know that he might respond in kind -- and mean it.
