Story Behind The Song
Inspired by wishful love and living on Long Island for a summer. The eternity and power of the oceans combined with the feeling of flying. Guitar inspired by Jazz based students I had at the time who really showed me what a good base line was.
Song Description
Fingerpicked jazz, acoustic. Minor verse, major key chorus with a back beat. Bridge with vocal ad lib/skat modulating back at the end. Jazzy acoustic solo wishing love to the end of time. Lovers, their ashes cutting tether from the beach and flying over the ocean.

Lyrics
Together in the end.
Like specks of dust in the wind.
Floating, settling someplace far from here.
And sailing out of sight and mind.
And sailing to the whims of you and me.
Like kite tails on the beach;
backdrop clouds of the sky.
Cut the tether and fly,
you and I.
When we're just dust that's just what we'll do;
through the sky blue.
Landing now and then,
landing now for the view.
And sailing to the whims of me and you.
Like kite tails on the beach;
backdrop clouds of the sky.
Cut the tether and fly, you and I.
You and I.
