Sometimes I wonder of the Escher lines inside my life
Sometimes I think back to the finer moments not quite right and
I remember John Maguire he was dyin of cancer said it stole his fire
he wanna be a bird so he could fly and rise and touch the sky
One day I went outdside and I sat on a garden table
a large black bird flew to my side and got as close as he was able
I touched his feathers and they felt so light
I held him in the air and I bid him fly
but that black bird stood his ground that day
Standing on the table he gazed at my face...
He stayed with us for one full day
he played with my children and he ate our bread
and I had to go to town that day
I looked back at the doorstep where he laid his head and
I called the woman said her husband died I said "mary can you tell me what he said last night?"
she said he wanna be a bird so he could fly and rise and touch the sky..
Then Mary grew quiet and said "you know, I think it happened"
"last night I was sleeping still in bed and I heard the windows rappin'
Flying so fast that he could not stop a bird hit the windows at t hundred knots I rose to the windows and to my surprise- a rainbow prism caught my eyes" ahhh
