Barb has been songwriting since age fourteen. She played rhythm guitar and sang in a young rock band called "White Heat" then later started her own Irish & jazz band called "Barbie and the Shineheads". Barb met Dan Kleiman in the '90s who greatly influenced her sound to smooth bosa nova which quickly gained attention of jazz enthusiasts. Barb had aired on five radio stations, and placed many times on Broadjam with great songs like "Dance me HIgher" "Rainbow" and "Get Outta Town"
