Diligent Praise

Story Behind The Song

The Lord blessed me with this song which is based on the following scriptures: (Psalm 57:7) "My heart is fixed, O god, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise." (Psalm 108:1) "O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory." (2 Samuel 22:4) "I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." (Psalm 28:7) "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." (Genesis 1:16) "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also." (Isaiah 61:3) "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." (2 Corinthians 12:9) "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."

Lyrics

I will praise you (Psalm 57:7)
I will praise you (Psalm 108:1)
I will praise you (2 Samuel 22:4)
I will praise you (Psalm 28:7)

Tears in my eyes and I don't know why
But I - I still praise you
I still praise you

Maker of all of the stars in the sky (Genesis 1:16)
Yes I - I will praise you
I will praise you

And when the spirit of heaviness lays (Isaiah 61:3)
Oh I - I will praise you
I will praise you

Exchange it for the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3)
Yes I - I will praise you
I will praise you

Your grace is sufficient for my life (2 Corinthians 12:9)

And I don't need to ask no questions why
