Story Behind The Song
Having just watched the violence and mayhem of the evening news before settling in to bed for the night, it occurred to me that the predictions of the bible pointing to the return of the Messiah were one by one starting to come to pass at a rather alarming rate. "Earthquakes," "famines," and "pestilences"-virulent fatal epidemic diseases such as the Bird Flu for example; "wars and rumors of wars," and "fearful sights" all came to mind as signs of the times in which we currently live.
Viewing the evening news broadcast on this particular night had somehow set a spiritual domino effect of scriptures tumbling down through my mind. One by one, scriptures vividly came to life as I listened to news reports, the likes of which sounded as if they came straight from (2Timothy 3:1)
Biblical prophesy has given signs regarding these perilous times we are in, yet some have become so spiritually blind that they cannot discern the signs of these times. Some simply cannot see, though the truth is directly in front of them.
Although, the Lords return is eminent, people just don't seem to take the promise of his coming seriously. It would seem that some have forgotten or never learned (2 Peter 3:3-4)
On October 13, 2007 the Lord woke me up with the song "In Heaven Let Us Serve You" and anchored it with the following scriptures.
(Romans 8:22-23)
(Matthew 25: 13)
(Matthew 24:30)
(Matthew 24: 36-39)
(1 Corinthians 15:55)

Lyrics
O Lord - We're calling you
Yes Lord - We're calling you
O Lord - We need you
Yes Lord - We want you
O Father - When are you coming
Yes Father - We want to come home
O Father - When are you coming
Yes Father - We want to come home... Home...Home
O Abba - We are so weary
Yes Abba - We want to come home
O Abba - We are so weary
Yes Abba - We want to come home...Home...Home
Only you can know the hour
Only you can know the day
Only you can know the hour - know the day
Only you can know the hour
Only you can know the day
Only you can know the hour - know the day
In heaven let us serve you
In heaven let us serve you
In heaven let us serve you - Father God
And there let us serve you
And there let us serve you
And there let us serve you - Abba
