I grew up watching superhero films and one thing I always related to was the loneliness that the superhero possessed. They do these incredible and selfless things and it usually goes unnoticed. Inevitably anytime a superhero lets someone in they are hurt or the ones they love get hurt. This song is also a metaphor about not being able to completely be one's self and that lonely choice to stay alone. Love is the hero's one vulnerability.

Song Description

Superheroes have a lonely life but inevitably this song is about two things: the superhero and love. It's a metaphor about not being able to be completely one's self and how that desire to be selfless can truly undo everything good in one's life. Sometimes it's important to be selfish and choose love because as "superhuman" as we think we all are life is too short. There's this since of infinity about the song and how if you fly away from all the problems they go away. This song is right before the big fall. Inevitably anytime a superhero lets someone in they are hurt or the ones they love get hurt. But can you really live a life without love? Can you be all that you are without another person? I'm sure you can but what a lonely life it must be...
