I was at an award show and as far as everyone knew I was having a grand time. But behind the scenes things were falling apart and people were gossiping about me and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. It seems trivial now but at that moment it felt like everyone was against me and it made kind of crazy for awhile. Paranoia is an amazing thing for writing songs.
Song Description
Paranoia and gossip, two best friends. Once the seed is planted whether it was true or not, the lie becomes the truth and the gossip consumes the masses. The clucking hens sampled in here represent the actual gossiping that takes place. In the end, you have to let the gossip just be white noise. Good or bad, if people are talking you must be doing something right.
