Lyrics

Goodbye

Here I am still bearin' this cross
Can't break these misery chains
You've tied tight around my heart
And now you're asking for forgiveness again

Well I won't clean up your mess this time
You've gotta lie in the bed you've made
Now excuses are all you can give to me lately
For every broken promise you made

So here I am to say goodbye
Looks like the sun might shine
Yeah, nah nah nah nah nah

Staring at the night until dawn
Wondering where I went wrong.....

Now why should I ever believe (please believe me)
Believe that you don't know what you're doin' to me (how could I know)
And how many times must I cry (ooh how I cry)
Before the pain opens up my eyes

So here I am to say goodbye.....

Solo

So save your breath and all your lies
Cuz now I'm here to say goodbye

Oh the sun might shine
Yeah it looks like the sun might shine

Really good song, great vocal/backing vocals very put together song. Like the song arrangement and great sound.

I could definitely see this song in a movie soundtrack. The intro reminded me of The Eagles (I love The Eagles!). The lead vocalist reminded me of a cross between Jon Bon Jovi, the lead singer of Candlebox ("Far Behind"), and Rob Thomas. The chorus/harmony part at 2:46 reminded me a bit of CSN (totally cool!). Also, 2nd solo at 3:06, has a great effect; pulls things nicely together at the end.

The instrumentation and guitar work is superb and the song has great energy, nice vocal tone and harmonies.

A very well done for the writers and the singer of this song. I liked it especially the arrangement and the instrumentation.

This song would have been perfect for OASIS. Really like!

Very good cross-over appeal between Country and Rock. I hate to compare but I hear a little Bon Jovi influence - but that's a good thing!! Nice lyrics, strong hook, and solid parts.
