SmartBlackKid is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist,singer/songwriter and producer, Hakhi Alakhun.

He produced 10 albums in a monthly series from April 2012-January 2013. In 2013, he released his 11th album, The Best of SmartBlackKid Vol 1. In 2017, he released his 12th album, The Best of SmartBlackKid Vol. 2.

SmartBlackKid was the lead guitarist for live hip hop bands based in Brooklyn before breaking out to do his solo work. He has traveled as a cultural ambassador with music residencies in Manama, Bahrain, La Ceiba, Honduras and Beirut, Lebanon. In 2019, he will release his 13th digital album entitled, Full Mental Alchemist on his own label imprint, 4PJ Music Group.
