The San Francisco bay area’s hot rod modern rock group founded by vocalist Alicia Perrone and bassist Victor James in late 1997, delivers danceable modern music and choreography that’s exciting, daring, and smooth, with a fierce sound that is undeniable. “Tough, sexy, and smart...Stinger’s singer is bionic,” says Tourdates.com. With the November 2003 release of their newest CD "Some Kinda Voodoo," Stinger’s devilish hooks, cool melodies, and groovy beats come to life with a fringe of spy film soundtrack around the edges. In their first month as a band, Stinger released their debut on 7” vinyl on their own Muscle Car Records. Two months later, their first CD “Private Collection” followed, also on Muscle Car. 2nd CD release was “Devil On My Mind." They are currently writing for their 4th CD and headlining the Girl Powder Tour 2004 presented by ALICE RADIO & LIVE 105.

If I had a label, I’d sign them today. I love the record “Some Kinda Voodoo” and am adding six songs to rotation. Excellent stuff. When Simon Stinger performs live, they own every inch of the room. There isn’t one person in the room not absolutely enchanted.
MACADDICT MAGAZINE
We have featured Simon Stinger music on our compilations & in our magazine 3 years running including the song “The Future Will Blow Your Mind.” They are the band and Some Kinda Voodoo is the CD to get you excited about music all over again.
I.M MAGAZINE
Most of the musicians I listen to now went wacko from not having their genius appreciated in time. May that not be the fate of Simon Stinger. Set them free. Perrone deserves to be recognized as one of the finest singers in rock & roll today ...the other musicians in this band are superlative as well...musicians of this caliber have been healers.

On their newest CD "Some Kinda Voodoo" released last November 2003, Stinger’s devilish hooks, cool melodies, and groovy beats come to life with a fringe of spy film soundtrack around the edges. In their first month as a band, Stinger released their debut on 7” vinyl on their own Muscle Car Records. Two months later, their first CD “Private Collection” followed, also on Muscle Car. Their 2nd CD release, the 13-song “Devil On My Mind,” was supported so strongly by bay area press, radio, and retail, they were offered a deal by Chicago Kid Records to release it in April 2000. Film music supervisors reacted the same way—in 2001 the Miramax motion picture “Diamonds” starring Kirk Douglas , Dan Aykroyd, Lauren Bacall, and Jenny MacArthy, featured “Fringe Authority” alongside Elvis’ “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” Members of the group also had a cameo in the film. They are currently writing for their 4th CD release and are headlining the Girl Powder Tour 2004 presented by Alice Radio & Live 105. For more info and additional highlights: www.simonstinger.com
