Born into a family of artists and musicians, Shane was encouraged to develop creatively. It was clear at an early age that he has an aptitude for the creative arts. He became fascinated with the endless possibilities music has in combination with other mediums. Film and Television scoring soon became the major focal point of his versatile recording projects. Inspired by composers like Danny Elfman and James Horner, who add emotional punch to already poignant pieces of film, Shane broadened his musical pallet and further crafted his art emphasizing a range of thematic elements. Using acoustic, electric and synthesized instrumentation as creative tools, he built a solid library of melodic sound. Co-lyricist and guitarist for “The Fong Jones Band” based in Denver, CO, he added a poetic pop melancholy flavor to the acoustic trio. Always ready to tackle another challenging project, Shane has composed extensively with artists of many genres included San Diego’s Green Blooded Doubles rap duo. However his continuing interest in film composition led him to Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. where he honed his songwriting and technical skill using the latest studio recording software. In addition to being a member of Broadcast Music Inc. and Taxi Referral Service, he also has found a home for many of his compositions in various song libraries.
